WiSE Women’s Panel

November 12, 2014 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

Several articles in the past year have brought to light the fact that women are less likely than men to have mentors. We would like to take a proactive stance to help early career women understand how to engage in successful mentoring relationships. Attend this panel to hear about mentoring relationships from the perspective of the mentor and to learn how to build your own “personal board of directors” for support in science and engineering careers!

Refreshments will be provided!

Panelists:

Shirley Baker, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, UF

Robin Boughton, Wildlife Research Section Leader, FL Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission

Keith Allaun, Executive Chairman, PowerHouse Energy

Corey Toler-Franklin, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Computer & Information Science & Engineering, UF

Gayle Dykeman, Manager, Florida Innovation Hub at UF, The Hatchery

Kimberly Newsom, Ph.D, MB(ASCP)CM, Senior Biological Scientist, UF Health Pathology Laboratories
